TEXAS BLUE MEDIA is an alliance of film professionals striving to turn Texas blue by promoting progressive candidates in county, statewide and Congressional races, and by confronting the issues that lie at the heart of its current political struggles.

OUR APPROACH
TBM pairs independent filmmakers with political activists and campaign managers to produce and disseminate short videos and TV spots via social and streaming media. We work together fine-tuning the messaging, then we help push it out.
WHY IT MATTERS
Texas is currently dominated by extreme right-wing policies that threaten our future as a free and fair democracy. Coming demographic trends may point to a more promising future. Turning Texas blue will eventually become a tipping point for the entire nation. It can’t happen too soon.

We want to pursue the same strategy that Republicans figured out decades ago: Run in every race from top to bottom. To do this TBM encourages partnerships in other regions of the state. Austin, Houston and San Antonio are the obvious places to start. Let us know how we can help you mobilize your local production community.

Texas Blue Media is a grassroots, volunteer-driven group dedicated to progressive activism. While we are not formally registered as a nonprofit, we operate with complete transparency. Every donated dollar goes directly toward meeting our basic administrative needs. This website doesn’t process payments here, but please contact us if you would like to contribute. Thanks!
Our Origins
In 2018 amidst the growing threat of MAGA politics, a group of freelance video production specialists in North Texas joined forces to support progressive candidates, mostly first-timers, with limited financial resources. Recognizing that many Democratic campaigns, unbeholden to special interests, couldn’t afford to purchase broadcast air time, TBM designed polished alternative messaging for social media audiences. And it worked.
